The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for rainfall over Odisha for the next two days. The Weather Department has also forecast heavy rainfall tomorrow in parts of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Chhattisgarh and Gangetic West Bengal.
Moderate to heavy rainfall is also expected tomorrow in parts of Bihar, East Madhya Pradesh, East Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Uttarakhand and Vidarbha.
The Weather Agency has also predicted thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds over the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Gangetic West Bengal and Odisha. Similar weather conditions are also likely tomorrow over Bihar, Jharkhand, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and West Madhya Pradesh.
