IMD alerts of very heavy rainfall in Gujarat region today

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red colour warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall with extremely heavy rainfall in Gujarat region today. The weather department said Madhya Pradesh, West Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra and Kutch are expected to face heavy to very heavy rainfall.

According to IMD, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand, west Bengal, Sikkim and parts of the northeast are likely to experience heavy rainfall today.

Met Department said that thunderstorm and lightning conditions will continue in Bihar, Jharkhand and Andaman Nicobar.

The weather agency also predicted that Delhi is likely to witness isolated heavy rainfall for the next five days. Meanwhile, Kerala and Maharashtra are expected to face hot and humid weather conditions today.
