Expressing condolences to the victims’ families, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the shooting occurred in the Holosiivskyi district and confirmed that the ā€œattacker has been neutralised.ā€ According to Ukrainian police, the assailant opened fire on passersby in a Kyiv district before barricading himself inside a supermarket with hostages and refusing to negotiate, leading to the deaths of six people.
