Intermittent rain, thunderstorms and hailstorms have brought major relief from the scorching heat across north India, especially in Delhi-NCR. Residents can expect intermittent rainfall and gusty winds through June 4 as a new western disturbance approaches northern India.

Weather officials have issued a yellow alert for Tuesday, warning of light to moderate showers accompanied by winds reaching speeds of up to 60 kmph.

As per the weather department, isolated to scattered light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds, is likely over Konkan, Goa and Maharashtra.

The weather department has also informed that the southwest monsoon may advance into parts of Kerala and Tamil Nadu over the next three to four days.
