Ashwini Vaishnaw Flags Off New Jalore–Delhi Rail Service

Union Railway Minister, Ashwini Vaishnaw flagged off the Jalore–Delhi special rail service at Jalore Railway Station of North Western Railway yesterday. On this occasion, Jalore MP Lumbaram Choudhary along with several public representatives and railway officials were also present.

On this occasion, Vaishnaw said that the people of the Jalore region had long needed better rail connectivity, which has now been fulfilled through the new rail service.

He said that this new rail service will play an important role in the development of Jalore and surrounding areas and provide passengers with better and convenient travel facilities. Under the leadership of the Hon’ble Prime Minister, a demand pending since the time of Independence has been fulfilled. Through this rail service, Jalore and Pali have, for the first time, established direct connectivity with the national capital and the state capital.

The Railway Minister said that better rail connectivity will boost local trade, tourism and economic activities and make travel between different cities easier and more convenient.

He said that railway development works worth more than ₹76,800 crore are currently in progress in Rajasthan and 85 railway stations are being redeveloped under the Amrit Station Scheme.

Redevelopment works at Jalore and Marwar Bhinmal railway stations are also progressing rapidly. While speaking about station redevelopment works underway in Rajasthan, he said that redevelopment of Jaipur, Kota, Jodhpur, Ajmer, Abu Road, Pali Marwar and Jaisalmer stations is being carried out in accordance with local art and culture, due to which these stations are emerging as tourist attractions of the cities.

Referring to projects under construction in Rajasthan, he said that several projects are progressing, which will strengthen connectivity in the region.

He said that to promote granite industries in the region, Gati Shakti Cargo Terminals can also be established by the Railways to support the industry.

For this, the Railways is ready to provide all possible cooperation.

He said that after the Covid period, 46 pairs of new trains have been introduced for Rajasthan, including Vande Bharat, Amrit Bharat and various express rail services.

During the programme, Jalore MP Lumbaram Choudhary expressed gratitude and thanks to the Hon’ble Railway Minister and said that under his leadership, the decades-old demand of the Jalore region is being fulfilled. Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Chief Whip Jogeshwar Garg, Ahore MLA Chhagan Singh, Sanchore MLA Jeevaram Choudhary, North Western Railway General Manager Amitabh, Divisional Railway Manager, Jodhpur, Anurag Tripathi, local public representatives, railway officials, press and media representatives were present.

With the commencement of the new rail service, areas of western Rajasthan including Jalore, Marwar Bhinmal and Raniwara have, for the first time, established direct rail connectivity with Jaipur and Delhi.

This rail service will halt at various important stations including Anjar, Gandhidham, Bhachau, Bhildi, Dhanera, Raniwara, Marwar Bhinmal, Modran, Jalore, Mokalsar, Samdari, Luni, Pali Marwar, Marwar Junction, Beawar, Ajmer, Kishangarh, Jaipur, Gandhinagar Jaipur, Bandikui, Alwar and Rewari.

After the programme, the Railway Minister himself travelled on this new rail service. During this, he interacted with passengers travelling in the coaches of the inaugural special rail service and obtained feedback about their travel experience.

Passengers expressed happiness over the commencement of the new rail service and thanked the Railway Minister.

Operation of Bhuj–Delhi–Bhuj Daily Express Rail Service Commences

For the convenience of passengers, the Railways is starting operation of the Bhuj–Delhi–Bhuj daily express rail service (via Bhildi–Jalore).

Train number 19403, Bhuj–Delhi Daily Express rail service, departed from Bhuj at 11:15 AM today and will reach Delhi at 11:45 AM on 24 May.

Similarly, train number 19404, Delhi–Bhuj Daily Express rail service, will depart from Delhi at 4:40 PM from 24 May 2026 and reach Bhuj at 7:35 PM on 25 May.

This rail service will halt at Anjar, Gandhidham, Bhachau, Bhildi, Dhanera, Raniwara, Marwar Bhinmal, Modran, Jalore, Mokalsar, Samdari, Luni, Pali Marwar, Marwar Junction, Beawar, Ajmer, Kishangarh, Jaipur, Gandhinagar Jaipur, Bandikui, Alwar and Rewari stations.

A total of 18 LHB coaches have been provided in this rail service, including 01 Second AC, 03 Third AC, 08 Sleeper Class, 04 Second General Class, 01 Power Car and 01 Guard Coach.
