Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah today addressed Hindi Diwas 2026 and the 6th All India Official Language Conference in Mumbai as the Chief Guest. On the occasion, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Sunetra Pawar, Union Ministers of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai and Bandi Sanjay Kumar and Secretary, Department of Official Language, Anshuli Arya among several other dignitaries were present.
During the event, the training programmes in Hindi word processing, Hindi typing and shorthand were also inaugurated.
Shah also presented the Rajbhasha Kirti Awards and Rajbhasha Gaurav Awards. He congratulated all the recipients of these honours.
Amit Shah said that today, publications such as ‘Shiv Anadi Hain, Anant Hain’, ‘Bharatiya Gyan Tantra: Srot Aur Swaroop’, ‘Andheron Se Ujalon Tak’, a special commemorative edition of the Department of Official Language’s journal ‘Rajbhasha Bharati’ centred on the National Song ‘Vande Mataram’, and ‘150 Chapters of Vande Mataram’ were released.
