Heatwave conditions to prevail over several states: IMD

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heatwave conditions over Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand for today.

According to IMD, Gangetic West Bengal, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Coastal Karnataka, Kerala, and Mahe will experience hot and humid weather conditions for the next two to three days.

Similar conditions are going to prevail over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal. The Met Department has stated that Odisha and West Uttar Pradesh may experience warm night conditions tonight.

Meanwhile, the weather agency has also forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya till tomorrow.
