IMD issues red alert for extremely heavy rainfall over Telangana tomorrow

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for extremely heavy rainfall over Telangana on Wednesday. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Odisha, and Andhra Pradesh for the next two to three days.

Delhi, Punjab, and Haryana are also to experience heavy rainfall. The IMD also forecast moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning at many places over Northeast India during the next 2 days.

The weather department also predicted thunderstorms accompanied by lightning over Andhra Pradesh, Konkan, Goa, Kerala and Mahe, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Marathwada, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand till 14th of this month.
