Russian and Ukrainian drone strikes kill 11 people

A Russian overnight strike on Wednesday killed two as it struck the border crossing between Ukraine and Moldova in the southern region of Odesa.

The strike injured three others and also triggered a major fire, temporarily halting passenger and vehicle traffic at the border crossing.

In Kyiv, a Russian drone struck a 16-storey building. Ukrainian officials said five people were killed and more than 30 others injured, with several high-rise buildings and other civilian infrastructure damaged.

Moscow resumed its air attacks on Kyiv on Tuesday after a brief halt during the visit of U.S. peace negotiators.

In Russia, Ukrainian drone strike left four people dead in Novorossiysk in the southern Krasnodar region.

Russian forces shot down 596 Ukrainian drones during the night.
