The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Delhi-NCR. IMD has predicted light to moderate rain, thunderstorms, lightning, and windy conditions with speeds of 50–60 kmph, especially during the night, until Thursday.

Similar weather conditions are expected to prevail in nearby cities. The minimum temperature in Delhi is expected to settle at 27 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature is likely to reach 33 degrees Celsius. The monsoon is likely to arrive in parts of Himachal Pradesh in the next two to three days.

The southwest monsoon covered the entire state of Jharkhand on Wednesday, bringing widespread rainfall that is likely to continue across the state till June 20. An orange alert has been issued in Bihar. Additionally, a red alert has been issued in Assam, and an orange alert in bordering states in Northeast India, warning of moderate to heavy rainfall and thunderstorms.

As rains continue to lash parts of Kerala, normal life has been disrupted in many areas, especially in the central and northern regions of the state, with rising river levels, inundated homes, and hundreds of people being shifted to relief camps.

As the monsoon intensifies across Gujarat, parts of the state are facing more than just a change in weather. The IMD has issued an orange alert for Surat, Valsad, and Bharuch, warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall in the coming days. Emergency teams have been deployed in the worst-hit districts, and authorities have urged residents to stay indoors during intense spells of rain.
