Vivekananda Statue Unveiled at India Consulate, Chicago

The Consulate General of India and the U.S. Indian Community Foundation jointly organized the unveiling of a Swami Vivekananda statue, which was performed by Vinay Mohan Kwatra, Ambassador of India to the U.S.

The ceremony was attended by elected officials, diaspora associations and community leaders, and featured a rendition of Vande Mataram along with remarks from dignitaries.

Addressing the gathering, Ambassador Kwatra highlighted India’s rapid economic growth, transformative socio-economic progress and the deepening India-U.S. partnership.

Speakers at the event also paid tribute to Swami Vivekananda’s teachings, emphasizing his message of service, harmony and unity among all faiths, which continues to inspire people across the world.
