The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heatwave conditions in the northwestern and northern states today, including West Rajasthan and Vidarbha. Places over Konkan and Goa, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal are expected to experience hot and humid weather during the day.
Coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Mahe, and North and South Interior Karnataka may experience heavy rain today. Places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Northeast India are expected to receive heavy rain during the next 2 days.
Thunderstorms and lightning are expected in Arunachal Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Parts of Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Northeast India today
