Typhoon Sinlaku moves over Pacific with 180 mph winds storms

NASA and Japan’s weather agencies showed sattellite image of ‘Super Typhoon Sinlaku’, which moving across the western Pacific on Monday as it maintained maximum sustained winds of around 180 mph.

The storm was located east-southeast of Guam on Monday and moving northwest according to the National Weather Service, with forecasters expecting it to pass near Saipan and Tinian as a powerful high-end Category 4 or Category 5 system.

Authorities warned of heavy rain, flash flooding and increasingly destructive winds spreading across Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands, urging residents to complete preparations and shelter in place.
