IMD forecasts heavy rain in West Bengal, Assam, Meghalaya, Sikkim

The India Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rainfall over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Assam, Meghalaya and Sikkim for today.

The weather agency has predicted thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds over Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Telangana and Uttarakhand till tomorrow.

Similar conditions are expected over Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, East Rajasthan, East Uttar Pradesh, Interior Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha.

The Met Department has further predicted thunderstorms and lightning over coastal Karnataka, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, and the northeastern states till tomorrow.

Meanwhile, hot and humid weather conditions will prevail over Kerala and Mahe for today.
