Australia has provided duty-free access to all Indian exports starting today under the Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement between the two countries.

Commenting on the third anniversary of the agreement, which came into effect on December 29, 2022, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal said that 100 per cent of Australian tariff lines will be zero-duty for Indian exports from January 1, 2026.

In a social media post, the minister said the agreement is benefiting Indian exporters, MSMEs, farmers, and workers, and added that India’s exports to Australia rose by 8 per cent in 2024–25.

Goyal said the pact has delivered sustained export growth, deeper market access, and stronger supply-chain resilience over the past three years.
