IMD forecasts heavy to very heavy rainfall over Odisha and Chhattisgarh

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall over Odisha and Chhattisgarh today. Heavy rainfall is also predicted over Northeast India in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura today.

Similar conditions are expected to prevail over Bihar, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Telangana and Vidarbha. The weather agency also forecast thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds at places over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Rayalaseema, East Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra.
