IMD Predicts Heavy Rainfall in Bihar, Northeast, Sikkim, and Telangana Today

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall today at isolated places over Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Telangana, Uttarakhand and north-eastern states.

Delhi, Chandigarh, Haryana, Coastal and north interior Karnataka, Chhattisgarh and Odisha are also expected to receive light to moderate rainfall throughout the day.

The weather department further added that Bihar, Interior Karnataka, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Telangana and West Bengal and Sikkim are likely to witness thunderstorm and lightning conditions during the next 2-3 days.

IMD said that strong surface winds are expected to prevail today at isolated places over Andhra Pradesh.
