The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin said that both Russia and Ukraine continue to maintain contacts, mainly through security and intelligence channels.
Putin, however, said he was unsure whether these contacts were making a significant contribution towards a settlement of the conflict.
“It is difficult for me to say now how much they contribute to a peace agreement, given the statements we have heard recently from Ukraine’s leadership. But contacts do exist, and they constantly continue, primarily through the intelligence and security services,” Putin said.
