Europe’s largest active volcano remains under a yellow alert, with authorities urging caution as Etna continues to display its powerful and unpredictable nature.

A rare drone video has captured an extraordinary sight at Mount Etna, where a stream of glowing lava appeared to pour into a deep summit opening near the Northeast Crater instead of flowing down the volcano’s slopes.

Local observers said the lava likely flowed from Etna’s Voragine crater into the Northeast Crater’s conduit, highlighting a rare interaction between two of the volcano’s main summit vents.
