The Nagaland Government has appointed MLA A. Pongshi Phom as Advisor to the Chief Minister on matters related to Airways and Railways.
The appointment was notified today by the Cabinet Secretariat and comes into immediate effect.
As Advisor, Phom will render his advice on matters referred to him by the concerned department, and his views and suggestions will be considered before proposals are placed before the Minister-in-charge for a final decision.
The notification clarified that the appointment does not carry any additional financial benefits, beyond those already admissible as a Member of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly.
