Nagaland Government has decided to lease Naga Heritage Village, Kisama, under a Public-Private Partnership.
Minister for Tourism Temjen Imna Along said the decision was taken during a cabinet meeting held recently in Wokha.
He said the site will be leased for activities throughout the year, except during the Hornbill Festival.
The Minister said an open tender will be invited with first preference given to citizens of Nagaland and their societies or firms.
He added that the Hornbill festival will be under the nodal department of Tourism.
Along further said the Department of Tourism is currently working out the modalities for the lease, and an open bidding process and expected to begin in September.
