French Skydiving Plane Crashes, 11 killed

Eleven people were killed after a civilian aircraft carrying skydivers crashed near the eastern French town of Tomblaine on Sunday.

The Pilatus PC-6/B2-H4 Turbo Porter skydiving plane, operating for Tandemotion Parachutisme, crashed immediately after take-off from Nancy-Essey Airport (ENC).

All 11 people on board, including five skydiving instructors, five students and the pilot, died in the crash, making it one of France’s deadliest light aircraft accidents.

French authorities launched an investigation into the cause of the crash. The Interior Ministry said the French Interior Minister was on his way to the accident site.
