Venezuelans Mourn Earthquake Victims in Buenos Aires

Hundreds of Venezuelans living in Buenos Aires gathered on Thursday for a Catholic mass dedicated to the victims of the earthquakes.

They described the situation in Venezuela as difficult and in urgent need of assistance, urging people to offer any help they could.

Argentina’s government said it had made rescuers, doctors, military support personnel, aircraft, and supplies available to Venezuela following the earthquakes.

Health Minister of Venezuela Carlos Alvarado said 235 dead bodies are recovered so far. Crowd source website regietered thousands of people are unaccounted.

A 7.2 magnituted earhquake struck around 160 km from West of Carcas on Wednesday, following a 7,5 magnitude tremor which devasted the South American country. It is said that the quake is the strongest since 1900.
