The committee formed under the chairmanship of the Development Commissioner for the school textbook errors has submitted its report to the Chief Minister, Mohan Charan Majhi today.
The Chief Minister has taken action as per the recommendations of the committee.
According to this decision, the then Director of the Directorate of Teacher Education (Teachers Training & SCERT) Manoj Padhi and three Assistant Directors Pralipta Mishra, Dilip Kumar Sahu, and Bharati Tudu have been suspended.
In addition, disciplinary action has been taken against 6 Assistant Directors. These are Vandita Patnaik, Manas Ranjan Raut, Vinod Mohapatra, Dr. Prashant Kumar Sahu, Manas Kumar Nayak and Dr. Sudarshan Santara.
The committee will implement 14 recommendations to improve the education of children and correct the errors.
These are: SCERT will prepare a master errata register, all students will be given the corrected data, Quality Assurance Cell will be opened in SCERT etc. Along with this, in future no textbook will go to the printing press without the necessary approval for language, images, data and printing.



A good step if the errors were serious. Students deserve accurate and high-quality learning materials.
