India, U.S. Express Heartfelt Condolences to Venezuela on Earthquake Devastation

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed grief over devastation caused by the strong earthquakes in Venezuela.

In a social media post he said, “On behalf of the people of India, I extend our heartfelt condolences to the Government and people of Venezuela, especially to the families who have lost their loved ones. We pray for the speedy recovery of those injured and stand in solidarity with all those affected during this difficult time.

India stands ready to extend all possible assistance.”

U.S. President Donald Trump also expressed support to the Venezuela, saying his country stands ready, willing, and able to help the country.

He instructed U.S. government agencies to move quickly to provide assistance. The U.S. is deploying search-and-rescue teams, medical aid, and humanitarian assistance to Venezuela. U.S. Embassy in Caracas is actively monitoring the situation.
