Amid ongoing negotiations involving the United States and Iran, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio is planning a visit to West Asia next week.
According to reports, Rubio is expected to travel to Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain as part of the regional tour. During the visit, Rubio is also expected to hold a summit meeting with the foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council in Bahrain.
The planned trip comes as diplomatic efforts continue to advance discussions related to a broader agreement between Washington and Tehran.
