The Ministry of Defence signed a contract with Accord Software and Systems Private Limited for the procurement of 20 Enhanced Capability Global Navigation Satellite System (ECGNSS) Jammers for the Indian Navy.

The contract, valued at ₹449 crore, includes a minimum of 75% indigenous content. It was inked in the presence of Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh in New Delhi on Wednesday.

The system is designed to degrade satellite signal acquisition and tracking performance of adversary GNSS receivers, along with signal spoofing or deceptive jamming capabilities.

Its induction is expected to enhance safe naval operations in a multi-threat environment for ships of the Indian Navy.

The contract marks a key milestone in strengthening defence capabilities and furthering the indigenisation of advanced military technology in India.
