Captain Lalrinawma Sailo from Mizoram recieves Kirti Chakra

Captain Lalrinawma Sailo of 4 PARA (Special Forces), Chanmari Veng, Aizawl, Mizoram received the Kirti Chakra award from President Droupadi Murmu, yesterday.

Captain Sailo was the one who shot dead the three terrorists who attacked Pahalgam in Operation Sindoor.

Home Minister Amit Shah himself said in Parliament, “He is a great avenger for India. Captain Lalrinawma Sailo’s case was also mentioned. The terrorist attack was called “Captain Rinawma Operation”. The terrorists did not even fire their guns, so it was called “The Cleanest Operation”. Captain Lalrinawma Sailo’s bravery and dedication and his great deeds for India have been awarded by the President, Home Minister, Defense Minister, VVIPs and various organizations.

The Kirti Chakra award is the second highest of the brave awards given by the Government of India. The award can be given to soldiers, civilians and police officers. It is awarded for bravery and courage in the most dangerous places of war, terrorist attacks and in the rescue of Indian citizens.

The Kirti Chakra award winners were announced on August 15 and The President handed over the award. Mizo Captain Lalrinawma Sailo is one of the few awarded by the Government of India for his bravery.
