Tamil Nadu Assembly: Over 100 MLAs Sworn In, CM Vijay Takes Oath

In the 17th Assembly session of Tamil Nadu today, more than 100 members were sworn in after Pro-tem Speaker Karuppaiah invited the members.

Chief Minister Joseph Vijay and cabinet members, Opposition leader Udhayanidhi Stalin, and former Chief Ministers Edappadi K. Palaniswami and O. Panneerselvam took the oath today.

Prominent members Premalatha Vijayakant, Sowmya Anbumani, and leaders of the alliance also took the oath.

Yesterday Governor of Tamil Nadu, Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar administered oath of office and secrecy to C Joseph Vijay as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu at a grand ceremony held at Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai.
