Rapido Operating Illegally in J&K: Transport Commissioner

Transport Commissioner Vishesh Mahajan on Sunday stated that bike taxi service Rapido is operating in Jammu and Kashmir without a valid licence and warned that those using or participating in the service are doing so at their own risk.

In a post on social media, X, Mahajan said his office had received several complaints regarding the operation of Rapido in the Union Territory.

He clarified that the company has not been granted permission to operate in Jammu and Kashmir.

“Anybody participating in the service or using it is doing so at his or her own risk,” he said.

The Transport Commissioner further stated that directions have been issued to concerned officers to initiate action against the “illegal service.”
