Bomb blast at Pakistan checkpoint kills 21 people

A car bomb blast took place at a checkpoint in northwestern Pakistan on Saturday night, following which unidentified attackers opened fire on police personnel.

At least 21 people were killed in the attack, while three injured persons were rushed to hospital.

Bannu police official Muhammad Sajjad Khan said that a suicide bomber rammed an explosives-laden vehicle into a police checkpoint in the Fateh Khel area, after which multiple militants entered the post.
