In Harsolav village, situated in the Merta region of Nagaur district, three youths—including 18-year-old Manish Gurjar—died after drowning in a farm pond constructed within a field.

According to information provided by the police, Manish Gurjar was repairing the tarpaulin and pipes of the farm pond when his foot slipped, causing him to fall into the water.

In an attempt to save Manish, Ravindra and Yashpal also jumped into the pond; however, tragically, none of the three managed to make it out alive, and they all succumbed to drowning.

The second incident was reported in Chundhi village of Jaisalmer district. Here, two youths lost their lives after drowning while bathing in a water reservoir located in a field.

It is reported that the two youths had gone to bathe in the reservoir to seek relief from the heat but became trapped in the deep waters.

With the assistance of villagers, they were pulled out and immediately rushed to Jawahar Hospital, where doctors pronounced them dead. These incidents have cast a pall of grief over both districts.
