A giant venture between JSW and Japan’s JFE Steel was announced at Rengali in Sambalpur recently. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi was present at the event, while the Japanese Ambassador to India, ONO Keiichi, also attended.
The Japanese Ambassador was served traditional Odia food at the event. The Ambassador was very happy with the taste of traditional Odia food. He especially liked the taste of ‘Dalma’. After the event, he wrote on his social media handle ‘X’ that, ‘I really enjoyed the taste of Dalma in Odisha. It is very delicious and a beautiful reflection of the advanced culinary art of Odisha.’
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed his happiness over this comment by Ambassador ONO. Thanking Ambassador Ono, Chief Minister Majhi wrote on his ‘X’ handle, ‘Many thanks to Ambassador ‘Ono San’ (Mr Ono) for making us love the traditional taste of Odisha so much.’
The Chief Minister further wrote that Dalma is not just a part of our food tradition, it is a symbol of our culture and hospitality.
Expressing this sentiment, the Chief Minister expressed the hope that the cultural harmony between Odisha and Japan will further strengthen our friendship in the coming days.
