Providing better health services to the people of the state is a priority for the state government. This was stated by Himachal’s Arki MLA Sanjay Awasthi during the inauguration of an Ayush Fair held at Palayaniya Gram Panchayat in the subdivision.
Awasthi remarked that, during its tenure so far, the state government has undertaken commendable work in the health sector, and special provisions have been made in the budget to further strengthen it.
He noted that Ayush is an ancient system of medicine, the practice of which enables people to lead healthy and disciplined lives.
District Ayush Officer, Solan, Dr. Nisha Verma, explained that the Ayush system constitutes a vital component of the ‘Ayush Gram’ project.
She stated that the primary objective of the Ayush Fair is to raise public awareness regarding the Panchakarma therapy.
She added that, due to changing lifestyles, people are grappling with various ailments; in this context, the Ayush system can serve as an effective means of finding relief from these diseases.
During the Ayush Fair, approximately 150 people underwent health check-ups and were provided with information on adopting a healthy daily routine.
Additionally, free Ayurvedic medicines were distributed to the attendees. Experts at the fair also highlighted the significance of Yoga and encouraged people to incorporate regular Yoga practice into their lives.
