Odisha Govt Moves to Withdraw MLA, Ministers Salary Hike Bills

The state government has initiated the process to withdraw the bills related to the increased salaries and allowances of MLAs, Ministers and Speaker. In this regard, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Dr. Mukesh Mahaling has given a notice to the Assembly Secretary.

Minister Mahaling has recommended the process to initiate the withdrawal of four important bills: Odisha Assembly Members’ Salary, Allowances and Pension (Amendment) Bill-2025, Speaker’s Salary and Allowance (Amendment) Bill-2025, Deputy Speaker’s Salary and Allowance (Amendment) Bill-2025, Minister’s Salary and Allowance (Amendment) Bill-2025.

The Assembly Secretariat has sent a copy of this notice to all the Assembly Members, Secretary to the Governor, Advocate General and other concerned departments.
