Firing at Assam’s Jagun Police camp in Tinsukia; 4 injured

An incident of firing was reported at an Assam Police Commando camp at Jagun in Tinsukia district during the early hours of Sunday.

According to initial reports, suspected terrorists opened fire targeting the camp, injuring four police personnel. The injured are undergoing treatment at Assam Medical College Hospital in Dibrugarh.

Senior officials of the Assam Police and the Indian Army reached the site and inspected the camp following the incident. Further investigation is underway.
