Assam: Police Seize Heroin Worth ₹1.2 Crore in Cachar, One Trafficker Arrested

In a major anti-drug operation in Cachar district, police seized heroin worth ₹1.2 crore and arrested one suspected trafficker.

Acting on specific intelligence inputs, a joint team of Lakhipur Police Station and Kachudaram Police Station launched an anti-drug operation in a border area of the district.

During the operation, a police personnel sustained injuries after being attacked by the suspected trafficker, according to the district’s Additional Superintendent of Police.

Police also recovered a mobile phone from the spot during the operation. Further investigation into the case is underway.
