The Baltic coast of Poland has frozen over after a prolonged spell of sub-zero temperatures, transforming the popular Hel Peninsula into a winter landscape.
The icy conditions left large stretches of the Baltic coastline covered in snow and ice, with parts of the sea surface appearing frozen after days of sustained cold weather.
Despite the harsh winter chill, visitors were seen walking along the snowy beaches and taking part in winter activities. Some people used the frozen surface for kite-skating, gliding across the ice as strong coastal winds swept through the area.
