At least 11 people were killed and several wounded in a mass shooting attack in the central Mexico on Tuesday night. According to a Reuters report among the victims one is a teenager.
Earlier on Wednesday Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said that some children were among the victims, but later the attorney general later confirmed that one 17 years old died in the shooting.
Bullet marks are seen on the nearby walls and bloodstains on the ground. The violence occurred in Irapuato of Guanajuato state of Mexico during celebrations marking the Nativity of John the Baptist.
The attorney general’s office stated that 20 people were hospitalized with gunshot wounds.
