Chief Minister of Telengana Revanth Reddy has come out with a pathbreaking thought of mainstreaming Transgenders and integrating  them into society. Following intense discussions with Transgender Organisations over the last week, an order has been issued by government permitting to engage 50 transgenders as Traffic Assistants as a pilot project for a period of 6 months and a notification specifying the rules to be followed for their  enrolment.

Accordingly the various organisations have sent as many transmen and transwomen  as they could and the physical tests were conducted in Goshamahal stadium on 4 December. Those who have qualified will be given appointment letters by the CM of Telengana on the police celebrations day on 6 December (Today) and they will be trained in traffic drills and other aspects to engage in the various crowded traffics of Hyderabad.

Commissioner of Hyderabad Police IPS CV Anand shared the information in his post X.
