Prime Minister Narendra Modi emplanes for Trinidad and Tobago after concluding his two-day visit to Ghana, the first leg of his five-nation tour. The Prime Minister is set to strengthen ties as he continues his diplomatic outreach in the Caribbean.
Earlier PM Modi addressed the audience at the Parliament of Ghana and said, ‘India carries Africa in it’s heart.”
From July 3 to 4, 2025, PM Modi will pay an official visit to Trinidad and Tobago at the invitation of Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar. This will be his first visit as Prime Minister and the first bilateral trip since 1999.
During the visit, PM Modi will hold talks with President Christine Carla Kangaloo and Prime Minister Persad-Bissessar. The discussions will focus on boosting cooperation and deepening the historic relationship between the two nations.
PM Modi is also expected to address a joint session of Trinidad and Tobago’s Parliament. His visit aims to move new momentum into the longstanding partnership between India and Trinidad and Tobago.
PM earlier addressed the Parliament of Ghana. He said about the deep ties between the two nations and their shared values. “India and Ghana stand united in our pursuit of progress and prosperity,” he pointed out.
Before emplane Prime Minister Modi participated in a Indian Community Programme and received a warm welcome from the Indian diaspora. The community gathered enthusiastically, greeting him with loud chants and applause in a lively reception.
Chants of “Modi, Modi” echoed through the venue as the Prime Minister greeted members of the Indian community. He engaged with them, sharing moments of interaction that highlighted the strong bond between the diaspora and India.
During the visit, Prime Minister Modi also posed for photographs with members of the Indian community. His interaction underscored the importance of connecting with overseas Indians during his diplomatic mission in Ghana.
