Israel has ordered the evacuation of Palestinians from parts of northern Gaza as it prepares to escalate military operations, while U.S. President Donald Trump continues to push for a ceasefire deal.
Residents of several neighborhoods in Gaza City and Jabalia have been instructed to move south toward the coastal area of al-Mawasi, as Israeli forces prepare to “intensify and expand westward” in their operations.
President Trump has renewed his calls to “make the deal in Gaza” and “get the hostages back.” On Saturday, he posted on Truth Social that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was in the process of negotiating with Hamas “right now.”
Meanwhile, Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesperson Avichay Adraee confirmed Sunday that Israeli troops are active in northern Gaza, aiming “to eliminate terrorists and terrorist infrastructure.”
