An American passenger plane collides with an Army Helicopter; All 62 people expected dead

A passenger plane and a helicopter collided on wednesday night near the Reagan National Airport, at Washington DC. It is believed there are no survivors from the collision. Sixty two people are presumed dead out of which twenty seven dead bodies are recovered so far.

On wednesday night, after an American Airlines Flight 5342 approached the Reagan National Airport to land, it collided with an American Army helicopter in mid-air. The crash happened at the Potomac river.

Fourteen people from the skating sports community were also killed in the incident.

Rescue operations are underway. Meanwhile, The White House condoles on its official X account.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also  expressed his solitude on X:
