South Korea’s 2nd Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Kim Jina, will visit Washington, D.C. to attend the second Pax Silica Summit as the head of the Korean delegation from 25-26 June 2026, according to the Forign Affairs Ministry of South Korea.
The Pax Silica Summit, which is hosted by the U.S. Department of State, was launched in December last year as a consultative initiative among like-minded countries to build a stable end-to-end AI supply chain.
Korea participated in the Summit last year and will again take part this year to discuss with like-minded countries ways to enhance AI supply chain resilience and strengthen cooperation.
On the sidelines of the Summit, a vice ministerial-level bilateral meeting between the Korean and U.S. heads of delegations will also take place on June 24, during which the two sides will discuss a broad range of issues related to bilateral economic cooperation.
