Assam: Missing girls from Guwahati rescued in Howrah

Four teenage girls who had gone missing from the Basistha area of Guwahati have been rescued from Howrah in West Bengal. The girls were traced and rescued by Basistha Police.

They had gone missing on Monday. The four students, who study at a school in Beltola, were reported missing, causing concern among school authorities and family members.

Following a complaint lodged by the school authorities, Basistha Police launched an investigation and successfully rescued the girls. Police said the investigation into the incident is still underway.
