Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav today visited the revered Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine along with senior officials to study its management systems, crowd regulation mechanisms and pilgrim facilities.
The visit is being viewed as part of the Madhya Pradesh Government’s efforts to develop the Maa Bhag Devi Temple on the lines of the Vaishno Devi Shrine, with focus on religious tourism, infrastructure development and efficient pilgrim management.
During the visit, the Madhya Pradesh delegation reviewed arrangements related to crowd management, darshan systems, security protocols, CCTV-based monitoring, sanitation management and technology-driven pilgrim services.
Officials also examined the Shrine Board’s administrative model, which is regarded as one of the country’s most successful pilgrimage management systems.
The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine has emerged as a benchmark in pilgrimage management through facilities such as RFID-based pilgrim tracking, real-time monitoring, modern accommodation, dedicated tracks, battery vehicle services and advanced security infrastructure.
These arrangements help manage millions of devotees visiting the shrine annually.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has been studying successful models of religious tourism and crowd management ahead of major spiritual projects and events planned in Madhya Pradesh. His recent visits to major pilgrimage centres, including Kashi Vishwanath, were also aimed at understanding large-scale crowd management and improving facilities for devotees.
