Russian air defences intercepted about 600 Ukrainian drones overnight in one of the largest aerial attacks since the start of the conflict.

According to Russia’s Defence Ministry, nearly 600 drones were intercepted across more than a dozen regions, including the Moscow region.

Authorities said at least four people were killed and several others injured after drones struck residential and infrastructure sites. Moscow officials said air defence systems intercepted dozens of drones targeting the capital overnight.

The attacks come amid escalating cross-border strikes between Russia and Ukraine following the end of a temporary truce earlier this week.
