‘RBI issued new guidelines to exchange discontinued currency notes’ , PIB Fact Chack Unit says it False

The government of India has debunked a news report claiming that the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has issued new guidelines to exchange discontinued currency notes.

The Fact Check Unit of Press Information Bureau (PIB) has said that the claim is fake and no such announcement has been made by RBI.

PIB further advised citizens to always verify information from trusted sources before sharing and believing it.
