Israeli struck the last bridge linking southern Lebanon to the rest of the country, effectively cutting off the region. Officials said the strike completely shattered the structure, leaving no possibility of repair and worsening conditions on the ground.

Meanwhile, explosions rocked southern Lebanon’s Nabatieh following Israeli strikes.

Fighting continued in southern Lebanon, particularly in the border town of Bint Jbeil, a Hezbollah stronghold and strategic target, which Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Wednesday the Israeli military was close to “overcoming.”

This comes as Netanyahu is set to speak with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun. However, President Aoun has stressed that a ceasefire must be established before any direct negotiations
