J&K Police arrests drug peddler in Budgam

Jammu & Kashmir Police arrested a drug peddler in the Beerwah area of Budgam district and recovered contraband substances from his possession.

A police team of Police Station Beerwah led by ASI Ghulam Hassan intercepted and apprehended a suspicious person.

During search, ground ganja-like substance weighing approximately 1 kg 233 grams, along with a charas-like substance in stick form wrapped in corn husk weighing about 22 grams, were recovered from his possession.

Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Beerwah and further investigation is underway.

J&K Police reiterate their firm commitment to eradicating the menace of drugs and urge the general public to share any information regarding narcotic activities to help build a drug-free society.
